HSML Scholarship Fund

The Scholarship Fund was established to provide educational support for descendants of Richard Hubball, the immigrant, who are attending college.  Donations to the Fund are tax deductible as HSML is a 501(c)(3) organization.  Donations to this important fund are welcomed and encouraged.

The Scholarship Fund was established in 1995, by Dr. John Platt Hubbell (ME# 10663), Jr. and his wife Penny, who were strong advocates for providing funds toward education of Society members and their children.

Eligibility requirements:  Applicants must be members of the Society, or children or grandchildren of members.  Applicants must have completed at least one year of study at an accredited college and be enrolled for the upcoming year.  Applications may be submitted for sophomore through senior year.  Awards are intended for undergraduate study only.  Scholarship recipients are chosen, by lot, from the submitted applications with only one award given per applicant.  The number and amount of scholarships awarded will be determined each year by the officers and directors of the fund.
