News Flash: Hubbell By Choice Wins Prestigious Literary Award - read more.
The Hubbell Family Historical Society is a volunteer, not-for-profit organization founded in 1981, incorporated in 1982.
The Society invites membership from descendants of Richard Hubball of Worcestershire, England, and New Haven Colony, CT; from persons interested in genealogy and history; and from organizations supporting such activities.
THFHS was formed to include all the descendants of
Richard Hubball, our immigrant ancestor and the progenitor of the Hubbell / Hubble / Hubbel / Hubel
/ Huble families in North America. He came to the New Haven Colony from Rock, Worcestershire, England in the early 1640's.
The Society sponsors biennial family reunions, the
Hubbell Center family archives in Des Moines, IA, the Hubbell Family Scholarship
Fund, THFHS Hall of Fame, and works to collect and preserve family history. View the
family calendar
for upcoming activities and local events. Or take a virtual tour of some of the
Hubbell Center displays. New members are always welcome, and you
need not be a Hubbell to apply. Libraries, historical and genealogical
societies, or anyone interested in this family are encouraged to join.
