The 12th THFHS Biennial Reunion
 |
The Albuquerque area is home to the Hubbell House, the private residence of
James L. (Santiago) Hubbell and Juliana Gutierrez-Hubbell, which also served as
a trading post, a stagecoach stop, and was the local Post Office for a period of
time. James and Juliana Hubbell had 12 children, all of whom were born in the
Hubbell House. Juan "Lorenzo" Hubbell was the second son and third
born of James and Juliana. Like his father, Lorenzo became a merchant and trader
with the "Indians" and established the Hubbell Trading Post in Ganado,
Arizona, which today is a historic site managed by the National Park Service.
The Hubbell Trading Post was the focus of the 3rd Biennial in 1987.
Overnight Field Trip to the Four Corners region.
This extraordinary event included dinner hosted by our cousins at the Hubbell Trading Post in Ganado, Arizona, tours of the Hubbell Trading Post, and visits to other previous Hubbell trading post sites.
A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
